Monitrice

 

A woman wishing to labor in the comfort of her own home as long as possible before entering the hospital setting might wish to hire a monitrice for health monitoring and comfort measures (massage, hypnosis, positioning). This is performed by a licensed midwife until the birther arrives at the birth place.

 

We offer a complete monitrice service which includes listening to and evaluating fetal heart rate, exams for dilation or labor progress, birth doula supportin hospital until the birth of the baby, and help with the immediate postpartum period.

Birth Doula Services

 

We have over 15 years of experience and have attended hundreds of births. Our doula certifications include hypnosis for childbirth, and The Bradley Method classes. Our specialties include mothers over 40, VBAC, Home Birth, LGBTQ Families, Twins, Single Parents, Cesarean Birth, Waterbirth and more.

Postpartum Doula Services

 

We offer the following postpartum support and can connect you with the perfect postpartum doula to meet your other postpartum needs.
 

  • Postnatal massage

  • Cloth diapering education

  • Elimination communication education

  • Babywearing education
